The CPE Show

If you’ve never had it done to you, having someone put a microphone in your face is a bit intimidating!

If you’ve never had it done to you, having someone put a microphone in your face is a bit intimidating!

Our stop at the Christian Product Expo Show in Murfreesboro, TN, was a venture into a new world for us.  The annual CPE Show is the largest national trade show for the independently owned Christian bookstore industry.  Publishers, sellers, and distributors had booths where they spoke to bookstore owners as well as each other in the ever-changing business at hand.  More than 100 hopeful authors attended with their works in tow.

Several media folks were there, including podcasters, radio hosts, and television personalities.  They met authors throughout the 3-day event.  For us, we were fortunate to have eight different interviews.  We received much positive feedback, and one Florida program is bringing us back on for their live radio show.

With an array of doctrine, beliefs, and Christian culture, except for the united understanding that God is awesome, and He loves us all, we had open expectations upon our arrival.  The event turned out to be a lot of fun, and our Launch Your Life book was well received.

While most principles found within Launch Your Life will help any aged reader, it was younger generations that inspired us.  The Millennials and Z’s are incredible and talented people with bright futures ahead.  This book inspires them to grasp a dream for careers, faith, and life in general.  But Launch Your Life is unique in channeling specifics to help the reader move forward in achieving those dreams and to see how God can use their full lives in His service.

At an author signing event on the first night of the show, we signed and gifted almost 100 Launch Your Life’s to bookstore owners.  In conversation with each of them, we were happy to learn that our distributor specifically highlighted Launch Your Life to them.  And nearly all of them identified a son or daughter, niece or nephew, or friend of a friend that could use the help in moving forward.

The destination God has in mind for Launch Mini and the Launch Your Life book is uncertain to us.  But it felt good to see God move at the CPE Show in a way we had not experienced prior.  It felt good to do it with each other and with our children’s support.
